WeatherTab

There are numerous third-party software solutions that you can turn to when you want to check the weather forecast. Alternatively, you can install a dedicated browser extension such as WeatherTab.

As is the case with all Chrome extensions, you do not need any expert skills to install WeatherTab to Chrome. Once you clicked the Install button and confirmed the action, you can pin the addon to the toolbar and you are done.

Alternatively, you can skip pinning the icon and simply create a new tab to discover the way your default New Tab page has been replaced with a high-quality image and the weather conditions for a random location.

As you would expect, you can set WeatherTab to display the current weather details for a place of your choosing, by simply entering the name of a city, state or the zip code.

On the downside, you cannot set up a list of locations and get the forecast for all of them at the same time, you can only add one place at a time. But the process of adding a new city is so straightforward that it should only take you a few seconds to switch from the current location to a new one.

The only customization supported by WeatherTab is changing the temperature unit of measurement from Celsius to Fahrenheit and vice versa. You do not need to access a dedicated window, as this option is available right within the main tab.

When it comes to the forecast, you can view the predicted weather conditions for the next 4 days - and there is no way to change this number.

WeatherTab is a basic extension for keeping you up to date with the weather details for a single place you select. It also displays a beautiful image that is bound to impress everyone.
