Private Tabs

Private Tabs is a Firefox add-on that allows users to open private browsing tabs without the need to switch to the private browsing mode for the entire browser. You can keep your regular browsing session separate from various links you want to open and without having to worry about history, cookies or cache.

The novelty of the extension is that it makes accessing Firefox’s Private Browsing feature more convenient. You no longer need to perform various click and open a new window, as you can easily open a specific link in a new private tab. Once you close the tab, everything will be deleted, so you don’t have to spend extra time making sure you erased your browsing history, cookies or other elements.

Once you install the extension, you should be able to view the option to open a new private tab in the right-click menu. It would have been nice if you were able to add a hotkey so that you can open a browsing session with enhanced privacy directly.

The extension can be especially useful if you are sharing the computer, as you can now easily access sensitive content without leaving traces behind. It can also prevent accidental exposure of browsing data to others who may be using the same computer after you. A good example in this sense would be when you are shopping around for a gift for your significant other.

Private Tabs provides a quick and easy way to open a private tab without the need to switch to private browsing mode. Not only does this save you time and energy, but it also adds convenience, if you regularly need to access the Private Browsing feature in Firefox.
