A Firefox browser extension that allows you to scroll on any web page without touching the scrollbar, and it comes with plenty of customizable options. #Touchpad Scrolling #Grab and Drag #Webpage Scroll #Scroll #Scrolling #Scrollbar
Scrolling on a page is an important part of our daily browsing routine. Although it may seem surprising, it happens more often than we think to not be able to scroll accurately, which can either distract or stop us from getting to the content that we are looking for.
Even though you have a scrollbar, it can sometimes snap to weird places if click on the wrong spot, or might go too slow and force you to spread your attention to something else as well, instead of focusing on the content you are searching for.
ScrollAnywhere comes with a solution, which might look like something simple at first, but it is a complex addon that can bring a lot of joy when you are using it.
But, if there already is the default middle mouse button for scrolling, why would you need this? You are right to ask yourself that when you first see this extension, as we do have that option already. But this is something else.
It comes with a different type of scrolling, as when you use the default option you get smooth scrolling depending on how far you move your mouse from the point where you clicked the button. But with ScrollAnywhere, you can emulate a more precise grab-and-drag style of scrolling, as on your phone or tablet.
An important thing to mention about ScrollAnywhere is that it allows various customizations, which really come as a pleasant surprise for such a tiny tool. It feels great to access its options panel and see all the things that you can tweak in there, letting you experience the extension's provided scrolling as best as fits your style.
You can pick which button will activate the scrolling, choose what type, direction and speed it will have, disable scrolling when a key is pressed, set its momentum, change the cursor design when it's activated, and many other options that you can tinker with until it will start to feel like a natural action when scrolling through long documents or pages.
And you don't need to worry, as the middle mouse button will still open links in new tabs without any issues. And you can also add, in a list, which sites or domains the extension will be disabled on.
All that's left for you is to give it a try, and I'm telling you, ScrollAnywhere won't be leaving your browser anytime soon after you experience its potential.
