Sidebar Tabs for Firefox

All the modern browsers, including Mozilla Firefox, have a multi-tab interface, allowing you to navigate on multiple sites at the same time and easily switch between them. But the default browser layout displays all the tabs in the upper side only, right above the address bar. While most might be accustomed to such a design, there are some users who would prefer to have the tabs displayed to the left side of the screen. Sidebar Tabs for Firefox does just that, providing a quick and easy method to toggle a sidebar in Firefox that encompasses all the opened tabs.

The major advantage of such a layout is that you can see more of a tab’s title, as the sidebar can be easily resized. All the tabs are displayed vertically, which makes it easier to browse through them all to find the one you need.

The sidebar can also include all the browser’s bookmarks, history or the list of synced tabs. Other than that, right-clicking on a tab brings up the same menu with the same options to reload, pin, duplicate, or move tabs.

Grouping tabs is also possible in the vertical sidebar. Just select multiple tabs with the “Shift” button pressed and drag and drop one of them on the tab you want to group. All the grouped tabs have their own color code to be easily identified. Please keep in mind that tab groups are not saved during private browsing sessions.
