qSnap for Firefox is a versatile browser extension designed as a collaboration tool, suited for scenarios that require sharing and exchanging web screenshots.
It could benefit web designers and programmers that are part of a team whose members are located in various corners of the globe, as well as home users who want to share interesting content with their friends and family and / or on popular social network sites.
No matter the purpose, qSnap has got the necessary means to make the experience with it worthwhile. Aside from allowing you to share captured screens, it can also save the pictures locally for future reference.
As soon as you accommodate it in your Firefox browser, you’ll get acquainted with the toolbar it implements inside the navigation toolbar. It sports two simple options, one to capture the visible area of the current webpage and the other to process the whole content.
Regardless of the option you choose, you’ll be redirected to another tab where you can further edit the screenshots prior to sharing them. Here, a rich collection of annotation tools are expecting you, with the possibility to insert text boxes (with customizable text font) and comments or to simply draw on top of the picture.
You can also crop a selection of the screen or blur details that you’d like to remain unrevealed. There are buttons to undo or redo various editing actions.
All of the screenshots that you’ve taken in the current session are listed in the lower part of the screen, to which you can attach more pictures (from the computer) for sharing purposes, of course.
You can share only the current screenshot or all of the pictures placed in the workspace at once. The generated links can be distributed across the Internet, including social network sites.
On an ending note, qSnap can become an asset for users looking for a quick and effortless way of sharing website screenshots. If Firefox is not your browser of choice, the extension is available for IE, Chrome and Safari as well.
