Atavi Bookmarks for Opera

If your line of work requires you to have a large number of bookmarks, then the default bookmark bar might not keep up with them. In case you're looking to simplify their management, Atavi Bookmarks for Opera can give you a helping hand. With this extension, you can instantly create new bookmarks and organize the existing ones.

It might look a little odd, to create an account in order to use an extension, but there is a good explanation for that. The Atavi add-on provides access to a dedicated bookmark page. From there, you can see all your bookmarks, create groups, share links and more. It the end, creating an account should not be a big deal, as long as it is related to security.

After the extension is added, your context menu will be updated with the Atavi feature. To make use of it, just open the context menu wherever you want, on the page you need to bookmark. Click on Send to Atavi Bookmarks to pop up the add screen. The new entry is added after you choose a name for it.

Before you add a bookmark, you can send it to a specific group. You can do it from the creation menu, or later from the webpage. To create new groups, go to the Atavi page, and look for the settings wheel near the lower-right corner. You can only add new groups or remove them by choosing the edit option.

The larger your bookmark collection grows, the harder it becomes to find them. Luckily, the webpage interface lets you perform a name search that can filter the bookmarks for you. 

If you need to share your bookmark library with somebody else, you can create a shared link. To generate the URL, look for the Shared Link button on the Atavi page toolbar. The button opens up a menu with the current bookmarks and checkboxes near them. Select which bookmarks to send and generate the link.

To conclude, having an intuitive and secure bookmark manager is not a bad idea, and Atavi Bookmarks for Opera can cover a lot of ground for a simple add-on.
