Sound Booster for Opera

Sound Booster for Opera is all about cranking those decibels up. If you are using Opera and have the impression that your favorite video or audio hosting platforms put out players with not enough kick behind the sound output, you can use this add-on to spice things up a bit. You get a new volume amplifier that stacks with your audio hardware, the player's volume, and goes up to a value of 600, or approximately 6 times the boost.

A very sharp-looking knob takes the center of the UI. All you have to do to change the volume is hover the mouse over the button and use the mouse wheel to adjust it. Or you can grab it with the left click and drag it around. While the knob has indicators for milestones like 100, 200, 300, etc. the extension's shortcut will display the exact value inside a red tag. When a blue tag is displayed, it means the volume is set to one of the milestones.

What's even more interesting is its ability to work with multiple tabs. If you have various clips running in different tabs, the add-on will list every session. You can select the tab from inside the UI, yet you can only control the volume of a tab once you access it.

Changing the layout to a dark theme is also a possibility. What is neat about this dark mode, is the way it changes the feel of the add-on. The cyan neon indicators that keep track of the volume mix up with the opaque black background, resulting in a stylish dashboard.

Sound Booster for Opera is one good way to boost the volume of any player access through the Opera browser. While this type of add-on is not unique, nor innovative, it still manages to look good and not disappoint operational-wise.
