If you’re reading this Softpedia review, then you’ve probably heard about The Verge. Since its 2011 launch, the website has become one of the most popular sources of tech and science news, but also a place where you can read about the latest movies, video games, comics and many other things geek-related.

If for any reason you don’t like the website’s layout, or if you just can’t get enough of The Verge, then you might like an application called Tech News from The Verge.

Basically, this program uses The Verge’s RSS feed in order to bring you the latest articles from the website in a neat desktop layout. It’s nothing amazing to look at, to be completely honest, but it’s definitely tidier than the original layout. If you do find yourself using the app often, then you could save time by browsing only through articles from a single category (probably determined by your mood and interest at that very moment). The big categories include Tech, Science, Culture, Cars and Reviews, but there are also more focused topics, such as mobile, cybersecurity, virtual reality, space, environment, film, games, comics, and music.

Knowing the tech market well, The Verge has even created categories dedicated to giants like Google, Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung, Facebook, and Softpedia. No, actually, the last one isn’t true.
