If you are experiencing Date&Time inconsistencies or resets even if you fixed them in the BIOS or you just want to avoid setting them from Windows, AS-Timesync can help you with that.

AS-Timesync has no GUI (Graphics user interface) as it immediately closes after the process was ended. After the app is started the clock and date is adjusted without any visible signs, giving you the impression that nothing happened.

The tool is also portable, meaning that you can put it on a CD/DVD or a USB flash drive and use it on any system you need.

If you want to automatize the adjustment process, you can set the program as a scheduled task. Make sure that you check the "Run with highest privileges" box for the program to be able to change the system time at startup.

Also, if you have a "User Account Control (UAC)"  activated you have to allow running AS-TimeSync as Administrator in order to change the system time.

The most encountered problem regarding the Time&Date reset is the exhaustion of the CMOS battery. The CMOS battery is a cheap and easily replaceable part so you can use this program until you have a new battery.

This program complies to RFC 868 (Time Protocol) where the smallest unit is one second. The program connects to "ntp.lth.se" on TCP port 37.
