Have all favorite web pages accessible at the press of a button from a simple tray menu with this lightweight, easy to use application #Bookmark organizer #Organize bookmark #Website launcher #Launcher #Launch #Organizer
With the Internet becoming a daily activity, and routine not only for entertainment, but also for work-related activities, you surely have a bunch of websites you need to launch as soon as you reach the desktop. Dedicated to this task, DailyRotation wants to allow you to access frequently visited pages from the tray area.
It doesn’t take a lot of time to get the application installed on your computer, giving you the chance to check out the set of features before you realize. On launch, it minimizes to the tray area without a prompt to let you know it’s there, but it’s easy to identify by its icon, in case the tray area isn’t too overwhelmed with too many icons.
The application comes with a few predefined locations to give you an example of what can be accomplished. Sadly, they’re either obsolete, or not too common, so you’re quickly tempted to look for ways to add your own websites to the list. Leaves more to be desired
Unfortunately, this can prove to be quite the struggle. For starters, the application wants to automatically grab specific websites directly from an opened web browser. The bad part here is it doesn’t really support modern browsers, with a high chance that it’s unable to properly read the page you’re currently on.
On the other hand, all pages are saved in a INI configuration file, which you can manually modify in this regard. If this is properly done, you can then launch all of your favorite websites at the press of a button. Moreover, there’s a hotkey combination to sequentially and on web pages.
Taking everything into consideration, we can say that DailyRotation comes with good intentions, but is not really prepared to handle modern technologies. This makes adding your own websites a bit of a hassle, especially since there’s no actual way to do this from the configuration panel.
