A computer connected to the information superhighway can become a lot of things. One of them is a central command panel from which several types of information can be shared. In this regard, WebMaster allows you to turn your PC into a web server to which others can connect for webcam sharing, time synchronization, and IP refreshing.
Needles to say that the target PC needs to be connected to the Internet, or at least a local network for functions to work as intended. What’s more, you must run the program with administrator privileges, so it can gather, and use all details it needs.
The visual design is minimalistic, with a side panel letting you quickly access configuration menus for web server, camera, time server, IP refresh, and general system settings. Most of them are equipped with multiple tabs, which is also the case for the web server configuration panel, allowing you to change details regarding connection, login info, server log, blocked users, and extra.
For the server to run, you need to specify the source location of the program, as well as the index file which must be under HTML or HTM file formats. This can even be a custom-made index for more variety.
The camera can be instantly enabled for preview, which comes in handy for configuring display options, such as video size, effects, snapshots, overlay information, save location, snapshot frequency, and whether to save data to FTP servers.
IP refreshing is all about gathering a target PC’s IP address which can also be created from a HTML or JS file template. It’s easily configured by specifying the remote FTP server to upload info to, which can also be grabbed from camera configuration options.
WebMaster can come in handy for creating a custom gateway to share, and save different details. Internet connection, or at least local network access is required, with various options to set up for camera, time server, IP refreshing, as well as the server itself. Connection is easily done through IP address.
