My Website Monitor is a straightforward piece of software that enables you to keep track of any website and get notified when they're no longer running due to any reason.

It doesn't include complicated options or customization properties, making it accessible to all types of users, regardless of their previous experience with website monitoring apps.

This is a portable product, so there's no setup pack involved. All you have to do is drop My Website Monitor's executable file in any part of the disk or on a removable storage unit to get it up and running on any PC effortlessly.

Worth mentioning is that, unlike most installers, it doesn't add new entries to the Windows registry or Start menu, so it doesn't leave anything behind after removal.

The user-friendly interface consists of a single window with a neatly organized structure. Apart from the visible buttons, you can open the right-click menu on the monitor list to get access to additional options, as well as enter the "Config" section.

You can add a new website to the list by indicating the website's display name, URL and checkup frequency (in hours and minutes). It should be noted that the free edition of My Website Monitor allows you to monitor only one site at a time.

In the monitor list you can find out the site name, URL, status, ping time, last verified time and date, along with the next scheduled checkup.

My Website Monitor creates a systray icon at startup and gets minimized there on close. It runs in the background while you're taking care of your regular PC activities. The icon's color indicates the current status of the website: green for working, yellow for currently checking, and red for not working.

Plus, a red icon blinks in order to attract your attention. Unfortunately, it's not accompanied by a notification message as well. On the bright side, you can ask My Website Monitor to send you an alert via email.

By opening the website's right-click menu you can view the last site error recorded by My Website Monitor, pause and resume monitoring, as well as edit a site's properties or remove it from the list.

Moreover, you can make the tool run at every Windows startup until told otherwise, set the checkup frequency in seconds in the event of a site not working, as well as apply a proxy configuration for connecting to the Internet and verify it.

There were no type of difficulties in our tests, thanks to the fact that the app didn't hang, crash or prompt errors. Unsurprisingly, it left a small footprint on system resources consumption.

Aside from a few drawbacks we previously mentioned, My Website Monitor proves to be a reliable utility for monitoring websites without worrying about a complex configuration.
