WiFiDrop - Send File

WiFiDrop, as you probably guessed already, is a play on the Apple AirDrop system, at least in terms of its name. The program aims to offer the same transfer capabilities but between Windows devices.

The whole system in terms of user interaction is quite simple, and this makes it a great choice for quick and easy file transfers. The best part yet is there is no need for a router as the user can transfer files via LAN or direct Wi-Fi connections.

Do keep in mind that if your machine is running a Windows 10S system, this application will not be of much use to you. For files larger than 100MB, a fee will be charged once. You will then have unlimited transfer access, but one must keep in mind that very big files will still be easier to transfer via the old cable route. This ultimately means that you won't win much in terms of wireless transfer unless only small to moderate files are being sent.

To be honest, after some time with this program, it did feel a bit awkward to go back to my classic transfer ways. Thus, I'd say that if you fit the above-detailed transfer profile, this program should indeed give you some increase in productivity and win you some time back.

Another thing you must keep in mind is that this program must be successfully run on both computers or more if that is the case for the transfer to take effect as expected. In terms of options and adjustments, not much can be done. One can switch the received file directory, ask for confirmation before receiving any files, and enable and disable being able to receive files altogether.

WiFiDrop seemed like an efficient way to transfer files and in the end, it matters how your transfer system works before using this program. For some, it might seem like a weaker choice, while for others it will be a game changer.
