There’s a lot of fuss nowadays regarding the security of computers that are actively connected to the Internet. Creating a new tunnel doesn’t require much effort, but rather an accurate set of values for host, local port, remote host, remote port, username, SSH Key file, direction, and extra arguments for more flexibility.

Direction can either be from local to remote or the other way around. Fore better manipulation of data, you can have it compressed while sent across the web. There’s the possibility to choose between SSH1 and SSH2 connections, whether to auto connect or reconnect in case something unexpected occurs.

You can create more tunnels and activate them with a simple mouse click. All details are shown in a log, but you need to manually grab text in case you want to save it to file. Moreover, the application needs to be launched with administrator privileges each time, and the lack of startup integration makes this a little frustrating.

Taking everything into consideration, we come to the conclusion that ezTunnel SSH is a straightforward approach on SSH management. It can be used by beginners and experienced individuals alike, thanks to the simple interface. Although there’s no option to make it run on startup and the set of features seems a bit shallow, it’s worth a try for simple, fast connections.
