Those who either work individually or are part of a team, and require a centralized solution for simultaneously working on their projects and sharing them with the other team members, might be using the online Scrapbox platform.

With the intent of providing a dedicated desktop solution, sbe offers users the functionality of the online version, in an Electron-based desktop application. With the same Scrapbox account, users will be able to start working with the desktop version.

The scrapbox pages will be displayed in tabs and the standard editing commands are provided. External URLs can be pasted, accelerator keys provide a more effective workflow and the context-menu can be used for formatting the text. The page list can be sorted according to users’ specific requirements, based on criteria such as views, updating, or linkage to pagination.

Some of the provided utilities will allow users to perform in-page searches, open the external URLs in their web browser, define a favorite page list, or open scrapbox pages from the browser history.

The articles which are copied to the clipboard will be maintained in Markdown format and if users wish to open pages with sbe, they can do so by adding the “sbe://” prefix to the URL, in their preferred browser.
