Bluetooth Command Line is a software collection of utilities developed specifically for helping you configure your Bluetooth adapter, discover remote Bluetooth devices and services, as well as transfer files to OBEX capable devices.
You can control Bluetooth Command Line via the command-line console. You can run all utilities as a part of batch script or launch them manually via the command-prompt. Some previous skills are needed for working with this utility as you need to input various parameters.
Bluetooth Command Line provides details about the installed Bluetooth adapter, such as friendly name, address, Class of Device (CoD), subversion, manufacturer name, discovery state, and connectable state. Printing the information is also possible.
You are given the freedom to modify the friendly name and Class of Device of the local Bluetooth radio, turn on or off the discovery mode, as well as enable or disable the incoming Bluetooth connections.
You can make the utility show the Bluetooth icon in the Windows notification area and disable alerts when a remote Bluetooth device wants to connect.
Discovery options help you identify all remote Bluetooth devices and services. You can set the length of the inquiry to a custom number of seconds and enter the Bluetooth address of the remote device.
Last but not least, you can pair your computer with a remote device using the specified PIN code, unpair the remote device, send files to remote OBEX capable devices (e.g. computers, mobile phones), exchange files with remote Bluetooth device using OBEX file transfer profile, as well as enable or disable remote Bluetooth services, and manipulate COM ports.
To sum things up, Bluetooth Command Line comprises a handy set of command-line tools for managing the connection and administration of remote devices via Bluetooth.
