There’s a high chance that not a day goes by without you at least going online to check your email, or connect to your social media accounts to chat with friends, or view latest news headlines. Almost anything can be found on the web with a simple search, and All Web 4 U aims to provide a quick way to look for items of interest directly from your desktop.

A neat advantage is that the application skips you the time, and effort needed to go through a setup process, letting you check out the set of features as soon as download is done. As such, you can use it on other computers directly from a thumb drive, without causing any damage to the target PC, since registries are not modified in the process.

It doesn’t matter what web browser you use, because the application uses your default one to retrieve results. Initiating the search process is done at the press of a button, with a dedicated field for text input. When not used, it quietly sits in the tray area, so it doesn’t take up any desktop space, not that the actual main window is too large anyway.

Another advantage the application provides is the variety of search engines it can use to retrieve results. You can only use one at a time, and it is selected from the drop-down menu next to the input field. These are stored in categories for general, video, images, music, or tech.

There are some inconveniences, though. For instance, there’s no hotkey support to quickly bring up the main window from the tray area, and configuring the shortcut to activate through hotkeys only runs a different instance of the application. Also, it would have been useful to see an option to make it run with Windows, but this can be solved by placing a shortcut in the system Startup folder.

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that All Web 4 U is a practical little utility which can retrieve results on just about anything available on the web. It supports an impressive variety of search engines, which you quickly pick from a drop down menu, and even though it can’t be activated via hotkeys, it’s sure to save some time when performing research over the web.
