Deep Search

Deep Search is a plain and simple-to-use software application that facilitates a desktop client for looking up information on Google while applying advanced filters. It can be handled by all types of users, even those less experienced with such tools.

The installation procedure is a fast and easy job that shouldn't give you any trouble. Once it's over, you are welcomed by a large and common window that has a built-in Google browser.

After entering the keyword, you can narrow down search results easily. For example, if you're browsing for music, then you can indicate the file type to look for, whether we're talking about MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV, FLAC, AU, AIFF, RA, RAM, VOX, DCT or GSM files.

Supported video extensions include WMV, AVI, MPG, MPEG, MP4, FLV, 3GP, DIVX, MOV, SWF, ASF and ASX. You can check for books and documents, tools, applications, administrator security utilities, torrents, fonts, lyrics, maps and images, as well as translate text from English to German. Buttons for going forward, back or directly to the homepage are available.

We haven't come across any stability issues in our tests, thanks to the fact that the program didn't hang, crash or prompt error dialogs. It had minimal on the overall performance of the machine, using low CPU and RAM.

On the other hand, it hasn't been updated for a long time, and its interface needs some improvements. Otherwise, Deep Search gets the job done, offering you advanced filters for looking up information on Google.
