MySQL Query Analyzer is a reliable and practical utility especially designed for developers and DBAs who need to quickly create SQL databases, indexes and tables.

It enables you to create queries and other SQL scripts, then execute them against MySQL databases and look through large volume of data in order to identify errors and other bugs.

When you launch the application for the first time, you are required to connect to a MySQL database by specifying details such as hostname and user credentials. The title bar displays the name of the server you connected to and the name of the current database.

The main window allows you to create new tables and other database objects. Each time you select a new SQL statement (from the File menu), the application automatically generates basic scripts that allow you to create new objects. All you have to do is to personalize them according to your needs. Simply replace the table name and the column values, then execute the query.

For those who have worked with several databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle, they can surely know how to work with default scripts since they use the same principle.

What’s more, the application provides a variety of templates, which can be accessed from the Edit menu. You can use the default ones, or you can simply add them from a specific directory.

Each time you execute SQL queries, a new window appears that displays if any errors were identified. In case your current SQL statement is not written properly, the Console window displays an error notification and enables you to view at which line modifications are required.
