OraDump to MySQL

Migrating from one database server to another requires dedicated tools to avoid data loss and compatibility issues. As its name suggests, OraDump to MySQL is a handy application designed to help you migrate your data from Oracle to MySQL securely and easily.

Created with simplicity in mind, this application comes with a wizard-based approach that enables you to complete the migration process in just a few steps, without a lot of hassle. In other words, you should be able to have your data moved from Oracle to MySQL by simply clicking a few “Next” buttons.

Upon launch, you are welcomed by the main screen, which prompts you to choose whether to move the data to MySQL Server directly or store it inside an Oracle dump file first. At this point, you can also load a profile file in case you saved one previously, so as to avoid having to go through all the steps all over again.

The first step of the wizard enables you to choose the MySQL Server version and select the line breaks mode. OraDump to MySQL allows you to insert statements for creating a new database or a new table. Migrating comments alongside the data is optional.

The source, the destination and the conversion settings are to be specified in the next step. The application requires you to enter the paths of the Oracle and MySQL dump files, respectively. Optionally, you can save a log file to save all the actions of the application for future reference.

To continue, you have to select the Oracle tables to import to MySQL. OraDump to MySQL reads and extracts the structure of your Oracle database, displaying it all in a list. With the click of a button, you can select all the tables at once. The migration and conversion process starts afterwards, allowing you to monitor its progress.

Thanks to OraDump to MySQL, extracting data from an Oracle dump file is an easy task. For your convenience, the application also features a “Quick Launch” mode, which allows you to run database migration quicker once the configuration settings are saved.
