SQL Autobackup Free

As its name suggests, SQL Autobackup Free has been created as a simple alternative for backing up a Microsoft SQL Server database without too much effort from the user.

Adding the tool to the list of installed programs is a quick operation that is not slowed down by unnecessary screens or attempts to push third party software.

The interface is straightforward and even in lack of user-defined parameters it tries to show the current status of the backup job, visible in the lower part of the screen.

The configuration panel is the first stop the user should make. The set of options include the address of the server, the port number for the connection as well as the authentication credentials and the targeted database.

One of the most important settings is the frequency of the task. This can be anywhere from one minute to a few months; an appropriate setting would be every two days.
