SQLite3 ODBC Driver

Working with database environments via the Open Database Connectivity protocol allows users to access databases of different types, as well as DBMSs from within a C programming language interface. Specialized drivers address such functional requirements, and one such driver is SQLite3 ODBC Driver.

The design of this deployment was intended to provide users with specialized means to achieve connectivity to the SQLite database environment, via an ODBC driver, and the targeted DBMS type is SQLite3 specifically.

The native code of the driver is freePascal-based and is thread-safe, having all of the containing driver objects internally secured, via critical sections, therefore still enabling unhindered multi-thread access.

SQLite3 ODBC Driver respects the 3.5 ODBC standard, and the provided internal string of the driver is Unicode (Utf-16), meaning that the driver will only export the SQLX-type functions and converts the string data to ANSI format if the target application requests a SQL_C_CHAR-type of input.

The specificity of the SQLite flags and other relevant aspects can be specified in the Connection strings section of the driver, and the data sources can also be addressed and modified accordingly in the separate, ODBC management system.
