Transferring media over a network can be done in various ways, each with different advantages and disadvantages, as well as intended purposes. For instance, users can choose to backup website data automatically, to a local PC. Or perform such backups for database environments. These are just two of the tasks that can be achieved with specialized software, such as FtpsTransfer.

This application was designed specifically as a command-line tool meant to offer users specialized means for transferring website and database information over a network, in a single call, via secure, SFTP, or FTP(S) connection protocols.

Besides website and database information transfer, the application also supports the backup and restoring of Unix or Linux file names on Windows platforms, which includes case-sensitive file and directory names, as well as names with characters that are either special or illegal in Windows.

MySQL database restoring from web servers onto Windows computers is also supported. Users who have a previously scrambled authentication password can also employ it in a batch file during storage.

Last but not least, a multitude of commands control the app’s functionality, and users will be able to prompt and inspect them each time when they initialize the app in a CMD instance.
