Just a simple cloud

The advent of single-board computers has brought with it a range of potential uses, spanning from demonstrational or development systems’ purposes, or simply for educational and use as embedded computer controllers.

But how about using them as a dedicated Cloud server? Raspberry Pi has seen an integration of the concept, in the form of Just a simple cloud, which addresses such requirements.

This software was designed specifically in order to provide users with a way of converting their RasPi computers into a personal Cloud server, with loads of functionality, allowing users to keep their clients up to date and provide flexible rights management with regard to defining the preferred read or write permissions.

Just a simple cloud allows you to work on multiple projects simultaneously, in parallel, for different workgroups and features an optional, automatic dynamic DNS. The handled data is subject to encryption, and the chosen method involves the AES-256 encryption standard, for secure transmission.

Those who might be concerned about issues regarding the actual server configuration process can rest assured, as the app comes equipped with automatic packet routing, which means that no router configuration is required and the packet forwarding in the corresponding router is made redundant.
