IE Proxy Switch is an easy-to-use application that facilitates a straightforward method for applying proxy settings when connecting to the Internet.

This can help you access online content that's blocked due to geographical restrictions, as well as protect your online identity. The tool features intuitive options that can be tackled even by users with no previous experience in networking utilities.

Setting it up takes minimal and effort. However, you must have .NET Framework installed, since it was developed with the aid of this platform.

As far as the interface goes, IE Proxy Switch opts for a small window with a black background, where you can create a new proxy profile by entering a name, proxy address, and port number to connect to. Changes can be saved with one click.

It's possible to create as many proxy profiles as you want, and quickly cycle through them. Plus, you can edit properties or remove any entry from the list if you change your mind. The status bar shows the currently used proxy.

The program can minimize to the systray to become non-intrusive and let you carry on with your regular computer activity. It shows a balloon message to indicate the active proxy and enables you to disable it from the tray icon's right-click menu. However, it doesn't list the proxy profiles in this menu to give you the possibility to swiftly select one.

We haven't experienced any stability issues in our tests. Unsurprisingly, it used a low amount of CPU and memory, so it didn't hamper the computer's performance. No recent updates have been made, however.

Although it doesn't have a particularly rich set of features, IE Proxy Switch offers a simple and effective solution for creating multiple proxy profiles.
