Dual DHCP DNS Server is a self integrated service that enables you to automatically add DHCP shared hosts automatically to a DNS server. The DHCP server comes in handy if you do not want to maintain the IP addresses manually, while the DNS server takes care of resolving hostnames to the corresponding IP addresses.

In other words, it could come in handy for managing a large number of IP addresses or when you have less than the number of machines. Consequently, the program could be used by small home or office network that features a few internal machines and that do not have individual DNS servers provided by the ISP. Even though you may have put together your own DNS server, it could prove rather challenging or very costly to manage IP addresses against the hostnames.

It can be argued that the solution for the aforementioned situation would be to use the NBNS protocol of Windows or configuring the Dynamic Updates. While in the first case the protocol is very slow, in the latter circumstances the configuration is too complex. This is where the app comes in, as it can resolve external names for the DNS and address the shared hosts from the DHCP to their IP addresses automatically.
