HypervisorControl is a PowerShell script designed to streamline the process of toggling the hypervisor on Windows. The script addresses a specific challenge for users with CPUs lacking a TPM 2.0 module, like the i7-7th gen CPU.

Before you use the script, first determine whether your system already includes TPM 2.0, as you can just turn on hypervisor and games like Valorant should work just fine. If your configuration doesn’t have it, then run the script as Administrator.

As indicated by the developer, the utility is quite niche and could be useful for you if your computer usage entails various applications that need hypervisor on or off. The example here would be activities like gaming (e.g., Valorant) that require the hypervisor to be disabled, while also needing to use Windows Subsystem for Linux 2 (WSL2) for work, which requires the hypervisor to be enabled.
