Microsoft Office 2010 KMS Host License Pack

Microsoft Office 2010 KMS Host License Pack is a KMS (Key Management Service) host that can help users activate volume editions of Microsoft Office 2010 client installations, including the Office 2010 suite, Microsoft Project 2010 as well as Microsoft Visio 2010.

KMS is a method used for activating computers over LAN. It's not mandatory for the machines to be connected to Microsoft. After installing volume edition client applications, these automatically start browsing your company's DNS server for a KMS host to activate themselves. All these software products come bundled with a KMS client key, making it necessary for users to install a product key.

Microsoft Office 2010 KMS Host License Pack includes an .exe file that automatically extracts and installs KMS host license files. It's compatible with both 32- and 64-bit architecture types of Windows 8, 7, Server 2003 SP2, Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 and Server 2012 R2.

Users should know that Windows Server 2012 R2, Server 2008 R2, Small Business Server 2003, Server 2003 and 7 (volume editions) aren't supported.

After launching the executable file, it's necessary to enter the owned Office 2012 KMS host key and open port 1688 to allow the host server through the firewall.

Note: this download does not include the volume licenses needed to activate Office 2010, users still need to purchase them from Microsoft. What is provided is only the software component provided by Microsoft for setting up a local KMS that provides easier activation for businesses and enterprises.
