Django Dev. Web Unit

Django Dev. Web Unit provides a web server dedicated to the Django web framework, allowing the quick management of hosted sites from a centralized control panel. It facilitates quick project deployment and enables Django users to manage all their hosted websites efficiently.

As expected, Django Dev. Web Unit requires you to install Python 3.5+ (32-bit) on Windows, as well as the Django web framework. To deploy Django, the fastest solution is to type in "pip install django" in the "Run" window (Win-R) and wait for the installer to grab and load the framework's files. Should these mandatory packages aren't detected by the configuration wizard, the application will fail to load.

Once these two requirements are met, the control panel of Django Dev. Web Unit can be launched. The first Django-based website, called "Hello", is created automatically and loaded in the default web browser, unless another website is already detected.

A new site can be easily created by assigning it a label and a short description. The rest is taken care of by the application.

Each site is displayed in a separate tab in the control panel and can be launched with a click. There are a static web root and a Django app created in the site's main folder.

Trying to keep things as simple as possible, the dashboard displays control buttons for starting and stopping the server. The activity log shows the latest actions and their result.

Django Dev. Web Unit offers one-click access to all the configuration settings of both the web framework and the server. Thanks to the integrated Python editor, the files are displayed in a window that features line numbering and syntax highlighting, two of the functions that make a developer's work easier.
