NDI-CONTORLLER

NDI or Network Device Interface is a well-known protocol that can be used to connect compatible video equipment across the same network. The protocol employs compression to ensure a large amount of video streams are transmitted in the same network infrastructure. Consequently, it may come in handy for anyone who wants to connect numerous video sources for broadcasting and distribution purposes.

NDI-CONTORLLER is a tool that enables users to manage the NDI matrix more efficiently from the same location. The idea behind the tool is that it creates virtual targets of the existing connection devices and that are registered to the NDI decoder.

It goes without saying that users need to have a working NDI decoder, such as Birddog or Tricaster, for instance, that is already configured to take advantage of the tool. In the eventuality that the application cannot detect certain sources, then users can add them manually. Alternatively, they can consider using the NDI discovery feature from the MXT setup to find and add new sources.

It is worth mentioning that the program comes with four presets that can be helpful for fast recalling a setup. According to the developer, users can add custom presets by pressing and holding the button for 0.6 seconds.
