Mobizware-Lite

Mobizware-Lite is an application created to help you send and receive SMS and MMS messages using your computer.

The application comes with a server that you need to set up and a sender which allows you to write the messages. Both the components of Mobizware-Lite display comprehensive interfaces, quite basic actually when it comes to design so using them should be no problem for you.

Mobizware-Lite’s server comes with a lot of helpful information which is displayed in the main window. You get a GPRS indicator, incoming and outgoing MMS queues, total incoming and outgoing MMS count, server status, and of course, buttons that you can use to enable or disable the server.

To be able to see all of it, you first have to correctly configure the server. It takes a bit of work and the list of things you need to do for the whole thing to work is quite long. If you’re not accustomed to these kinds of applications and server configuration, you will most definitely need the manual. You have to provide the MMS Wap Gateway, MMS Message server, GSM Modem, port and speed, GPRS Dialup and connecting device.

When all of that is fine and properly working, you can send and receive SMS and MMS messages. For MMS, you get support for formats such as HTML, TXT, GIF, JPG, TIFF, PNG, WBMP, IMY, EMY, VCS, SIS, WAV, MIDI, BMP and others.

Sending the message itself, compared to configuring the server is child’s play. You only need to provide the phone number, type in the message you want or load the MMS file and click the corresponding send button.

In closing, Mobizware-Lite is a nice tool to have when you need to send messages but considering today’s much more efficient and widespread options, it’s highly impractical.
