Many websites today use the Macromedia Flash component for creating animated ads. These ads consume additional bandwidth and sometimes even slow down your computer.

Although the latest Internet Explorer version has the ability to disable the Flash component, the process is more complicated than using specialized tools like TurnFlash.

If Flash is disabled with this tool, all Internet Explorer pages opened after the operation will be affected by the change. All pages that where opened before disabling the Flash Component are not affected.

While Flash is disabled, the browser won't ask to download and install the component. On some web pages, the occurrence of script errors will go up after disabling the Flash Component.

TurnFlash will not install files on your system as it can be directly executed after extraction. After the app was started, a blue round icon will appear in the system tray. While Flash component is enabled, the white "F" will fill in the blue icon. After disabling it, the "F" will disappear, only the blue icon remaining.

In order to enable/disable the Flash component simply click the tool's icon. Right-clicking it will open a combo menu with the current status, the version information and the exit button.
