Brightworks HTML Editor

Brightworks HTML Editor is a simple application that gives you the possibility to edit HTML source code in a user-friendly working environment. It mostly addresses users less experienced with web design, and it features a few preset HTML tags.

The installation procedure takes little time and requires minimal user intervention. Worth noting is that you must have .NET Framework set up, since it was developed with the help of this platform.

As far as the interface is concerned, the utility opts for a normal window with a minimalistic appearance, where you can get started by opening an HTML file.

Unfortunately, syntax highlighting isn't supported. It's possible to edit the HTML code, locate items using a basic search function, as well as create and save HTML templates using Brightworks HTML Editor.

When it comes to predefined HTML tags, you can insert a wide range of items, such as background images, headers, paragraphs, lists, links, images, list boxes, buttons, text bouncing back and forth, along with continuous scrolling text.

As far as program settings go, you can change the font type, style, size, effects (strikeout, underline) and script, together with the default template, which can be restored to the original one any time.

We haven't experienced any stability issues in our tests, thanks to the fact that the tool didn't hang, crash or prompt error messages. It left a small footprint on the computer's performance, running on a low amount of CPU and RAM. Although it hasn't been updated for a long time, there were no compatibility issues with newer Windows.

To sum it up, Brightworks HTML Editor offers a user-friendly GUI for editing HTML source code, and it mostly caters to beginners.
