Quickly convert your texts to HTML with the help of this ultra-simplistic Markdown editor that packs a live preview with sync scrolling and not much else #Markdown Editor #Text To HTML #Edit Markdown #Markdown #Editor #Text2HTML
Although you a regular text editor can be used for converting text to HTML, most web writers prefer Markdown editors instead, since, even the most simple ones provide a lot more visual feedback and, possibly, a couple of neat, extra features.
Moeditor is a ultra-simplistic piece of software that makes it as simple as possible for you to convert text to HTML using the Markdown language quickly and effortlessly.
Right off the bat, it must be said that if you are looking for a full-featured Markdown editing tool this is by no means going to live up to your highest expectations.
The utility does not bundle any advanced features, nor does it come with the basic features that lots of other similar tools support. You do not get syntax highlighting, a full screen mode, auto save and you cannot export your work as PDF or HMTL.
The fact that Moeditor is focused on absolute, distraction-free simplicity becomes evident even in the first seconds after you launch the app. Its interface is the perfect example of a minimalist look with no menus or even contextual menus available.
Speaking of its interface, probably the most noteworthy feature of this program is the fact that it comes with an embedded live preview panel equipped with synchronizing scrolling.
By now, it should be quite evident that you need to least know the basic Markdown commands in order to get by, as the app does not provide you with any type of learning aid.
Since it does not offer much in terms of features, it should come as no surprise that the only real supported shortcut keys are for opening new instances, opening already existing projects and for saving the ones you are currently working on.
Last but not least, since it is Electron-based, Moeditor can be run just as efficiently on all three major OSs out there, Windows, macOS and Linux.
Taking everything into consideration, Moeditor offers a minimalist and simplistic approach towards Markdown editing and text to HTML converting.
Even though most Markdown editors are not what exploding with features, this actual one struggles to find a solid identity. Although it works just as intended, it might come off as a bit too minimalist for experienced web writers (that will sure want more) and even too simplistic for rookie users.
