It offers a batch mode by creating the same button for eight different states: Normal, Mouseover, Clicked, Disabled, Downed Normal, Downed Mouseover, Downed Clicked and Downed Disabled. This enables users to create variations of the same button with ease. However, users can easily get confused and apply the wrong modifications, since the application is not organized in menus and sub-menus.

Alventis Button Workshop enables users to modify different aspects of their projects, which include size, texture, glyph, font, molding and background. Users can blend in the alterations and position them as they wish. Despite the apparent complexity of the application, users cannot add any other files besides image files.

Unfortunately, the limitations of the application do not end here – users cannot adjust background shapes, but they can insert a custom image. The application does not include any templates or links to a library, meaning users must rely on what they have on their personal computer.

Alventis Button Workshop can save the users' projects to various file formats, such as BMP, PNG, GIF and JPEG. It even offers a few options related to bit depth and transparency, but, again, the application is limited. In spite of this, the program offers an extensive help file that proves useful for beginners and simplifies the creation process.
