LabelMaker is one of the many apps that comes lightweight and without unnecessary add-ons to offer an uncomplicated way to create labels for various sites. Make sure you have Java present on the drive or updated in order for the program to work properly.

If you encounter security issues with it, add it to the Java exception list. The provided layout is plain and with few options, neatly structured in individual areas. The preview is found in the upper part of the window, while the functions, in the other half.

If you used LabelMaker in the past and you have saved models, the tool lets you open them one by one. However, it's your first time you can use the sample design to get quickly familiarized with how the options work.

Before you get started, it's possible to change the font and background color from the menu, for more visibility. The text is inputted in the label field, along with its size, style, vertical and horizontal position. Make sure you hit Enter after each modification to be able to preview the design.

You can also select the transparency, square dimension, by entering the values for width and height, as well as the text offsets, output file format (e.g. JPG, GIF) and border. Regarding the font type, simply delete the current one, and a drop-down is shown. Pick the desired one. Once you're done, the result is saved in either JPG or GIF image type.
