Ruler

Ruler is a small Windows application designed specifically for helping you place a virtual ruler on your screen that can be moved to any area of your desktop with the aid of the drag-and-drop support.

It comes in handy in case you work with CAD programs and need to measure the distances between objects, or simply want to find out the size and position of photos, documents, icons, or other objects.

Since this is a portable program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry.

You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to use a ruler on the breeze, without having to go through installation steps.

You are welcomed by a clean feature lineup that allows you to carry out most of the operations with minimal effort. You can run multiple instances of the program.

Ruler gives you the possibility to expand the size of the ruler by dragging from its right corner. What’s more, you are allowed to copy data (width, height, and size) to the clipboard, so you can easily paste it into other third-party programs, as well as make the ruler transparent. On the downside, you are not allowed to flip the ruler vertically or horizontally.

Since it doesn’t comprise many configuration settings, even rookies can master the process with just a few clicks. During our testing we have noticed that Ruler carries out a task quickly, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process.
