If you have a relatively large collection of media on your iDevice, then there is a high chance that you would like to enjoy it on a big screen. While investing in an Apple TV is one idea, it may not be the best alternative if you are on a low budget.

AirCast is a tool designed to help you mirror your iPhone or iPad onto your desktop with just one click, providing that your computer and the mobile devices are on the same network.

While the installation is a quick and uneventful operation, you should make sure that your devices are connected to the same network as your iDevices. You need to ensure the application includes an exception in the firewall and that the process is not blocked by the antivirus installed on your computer.

Take note that the tool does not require you install anything on your mobile phone. Nevertheless, if you respected the steps above, you should be able to view the AirCast connection in the Control Center. Once accessed, you need to select the receiver with the same name and hit the Start UI command.

It is worth mentioning that the program enables you to select the resolution for the stream and hence, you can opt for a high option if your video card allows you to. Moreover, you can set the maximum video frame rate, the video encoder and specify if you want to enable both audio and video from the Settings menu.

At the same time, the app enables you to record your streaming sessions so that you can view them later on without opening the app. The recordings are going to be saved in a dedicated folder on your PC that you can customize.
