You can use it to check for firmware updates, backup data to iCloud or to the local PC, with or without encrypting backup files. Device accessibility ca also be altered with Apple Devices.

You will surely notice that Apple Devices also features sections dedicated to music, TV shows and movies. These are not accessible unless Apple Music and Apple TV are also installed on your Windows computer.

Apple Devices is one of the three applications meant to replace iTunes. However, as it goes, the application is not entirely stable. During the tests I performed, it failed to detect the device several times and, what is more, it crashed once I selected the files to transfer between an iPhone and a PC. It seems like several users are complaining about similar issues. Nevertheless, it is a step forward to surpass the old iTunes and it is worth a try.
