SamsungFlashGUI is a lightweight utility designed to help you flash Samsung IMG files. Before you proceed to flashing your device, you should be aware of the risks involved, a noteworthy one being that you are voiding the warranty. Moreover, you should always create a backup of the important data to avoid losing it in case something goes wrong.

Although you launch the script via a console, you will be happy to learn that the utility does include GUI windows that enable you to view and select the next steps. Once you launch the script, you are prompted to specify the Partition you want to flash and have four options, namely Boot, Recovery, Data and System.

The next step entails selecting the IMG file you want to flash, and that means browsing through your hard disk. As you probably hinted, at this point you should make sure that your Samsung device is connected to the PC, so that you can discover it via the app.
