ActivFlex Media

ActiveFlex Media is a lightweight multimedia utility that helps one organize media items on their machines. If you wish to have a swifter way to manage your images, videos, or audio tracks, you are in luck. This program lest organize everything files by their type, or you can mix things up as much as you, please.

The program is a blank canvas the first time it is run. There will be default libraries for the system's Pictures, Music, and Videos directories, but that's all. The responsibility of building libraries is left to the user. Right-click the Media Libraries title to add a new item. Give it a name and an owner, and it's done.

Populate an empty library by importing either videos, images, or audio files. All file types come with a context menu that lets you open them with the default image viewer or media player, that if you don't wish to use ActiveFlex Media's alternatives, which are of basic level, although fairly clean. Another interesting feature is the integrated rating system. This offline star rating helps with organizing a library's items, along with other conditions like chronology, frequency of use, or name.

The scale of the thumbnails can also be modified. Use the white slider to enlarge or shrink down the thumbnails, thus affecting their place on the page and visibility.

Apart from helping one manage multimedia content on their PCs, it can also be used while on the go. ActiveFlex Media does not require installation, which means you can use it on any machine you get your hands on. However, the app will create a folder within the AppData directory, in order to store the libraries.
