Setting up the utility is a quick and easy job. Its interface is not necessarily attractive but well-organized. Tracks can be added to the task list using either the file browser, drag-and-drop function or tree view. As expected, it supports batch processing, so you can encode multiple files at once to reduce the workload.

As far as output settings are concerned, you can specify the saving directory (same as input or different), set the action to take when encountering existing files between prompting the user for action, skipping the task, overwriting the original file, and appending a number to the new file's name.

What's more, you can set up a naming rule by taking into account track numbers, titles, genres and many other criteria. The output audio properties are editable in terms of file format, codec, sample rate, codec, channel mode, bits per sample and bit rate.

It is possible to load tracks in a built-in audio player for previewing purposes, open their location in Windows Explorer, and group the items in the list by various criteria.

We have not come across any issues in our tests, since AV Audio Converter did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. It carries out conversion jobs rapidly while running on low CPU and RAM, so it does not affect the PC's overall performance.

To sum it up, AV Audio Converter delivers a fast and reliable solution for modifying the format of audio tracks, and it is backed by plenty of configurable settings to meet the requirements of most users.
