Alt WAV to MP3 Converter is an application that allows you to encode audio files from and to MP3, WAV, WMA, OGG, FLAC and MMF.

The interface of the tool is cluttered (a softer phrasing might be more appropriate: the application window does not look particularly appealing as it seems quite cluttered). Audio tracks can be imported into the file queue by using either the file browser, tree view or "drag and drop" function. Processing multiple items at the same time is possible.

The list provides various details about each track. This includes location, current and output format, size and metadata. If you are satisfied with the default settings, then you can proceed with the conversion operation by establishing the output directory and file type.

Otherwise, you can modify audio and video preferences when it comes to the sample rate, bit rate, channel mode, VBR quality, bits per sample and compression level. But you can also select a preset, such as CD quality or voice quality.

You can edit metadata and customize columns, as well as set Alt WAV MP3 WMA OGG Converter to save the folder structure, to overwrite or add a suffix to duplicate files, as well as rename original items.
