Audio Converter is an application that you can use to encode audio tracks to several formats, including MP3, WAV, WMA, OGG and FLAC.

The interface of the program is plain and simple to navigate through. Audio tracks can be imported into the list by using the file browser only, because the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is allowed.

In the queue you can check out the source path, start time and duration of each track. All you have to do is set the output format and destination, in order to proceed with the encoding task.

But you can also change audio settings when it comes to the quality, channel mode and sample frequency rate, as well as move items up and down in the list, remove an entry from the queue or clear it completely. Plus, you can trim tracks.

The audio conversion program runs on a very low amount of system resources, supports several skins for the interface, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and manages to keep a good sound quality in the output tracks. There's also an online animated tutorial that you can check out.

On the other hand, the interface is outdated and Audio Converter failed several conversion jobs during our tests. Otherwise, we recommend this software to all users, regardless of their experience level.
