Awave Audio is a feature-packed software solution that comes in handy to all those who want to change their audio tracks from one format to another.
This application does not require any expert skills, so you can easily encode your audio files even if you are a computer newbie especially since its interface guides you through each step.
Basically, you start by selecting one or more audio tracks that you want to change the format for.
Next, choose the target format and configure some parameters if you are not pleased with the default ones, then complete the process and get the new files to the location you specify.
Not only can you add files to the source list by dragging and dropping them, you can also select a plethora of formats as the source and destination extensions: 3GP, AAC, AC3, AIFF, AMR, APE, AU, AVI, CDA, DTS, FLAC, GSM, IFF, M4A, MKA, MKV, MOV, MPEG, NIST, OGG, OPUS, SHN, SND, VOX, WAV, WMA and many more.
You can set one file to be converted to a list of target formats, thus helping you save a lot of time.
A handy feature of Awave Audio is that you can access and modify the metadata of your loaded audio tracks.
You can change the track album and artist names, genre, track number, copyright, release date, comments and so on.
To sum things up, you can turn to Awave Audio whenever you want to quickly convert your songs to other formats. Its intuitive GUI makes it easy for any user to choose the output format and folder, then stand back and wait for the operation to be completed.
More advanced users can tamper with the output settings, such as data format, dithering, resample or normalize values.
What's new in Awave Audio 11.3:
- Added support for image meta data (cover image album art). Supports ID3v2-tags (.AAC, .AIFF, .FLAC, .MP2, .MP3, .WAV), APE-tags (.AAC, .APE, .MP3, .WV), as well as some format specific picture meta data (.FLAC, .MKA, .OGG, .WMA)
- The file info dialog has a new "Image" tab where you can view, override, or export the image for an input file
- There's also an "Override image..." command if you right-click on a set of selected input files, allowing setting an image for multiple files in one go
- Added support for EBU R 128 loudness range calculation according to Tech note 3342. This is a piece of meta data that, in addition to the normal R 128 loudness measure, tells how much a clip varies in loudness. It can currently only be saved to a BEXT-chunk (Broadcast Wave Extension), available when saving to BWF-type .WAV or .W64. It is calculated whenever you enable normalization using EBU R 128
