This software utility lets you switch between two windows: one in which you can transform only one file at a time, and the other is dedicated to batch conversions. A small drawback here is the fact that the “drag and drop” feature is not supported, option that might have helped you speed up the whole process.

The main window presents a progress bar in both modes, so that you can figure out the time left until you can listen to the recorded files. In addition to that, you can open the resulted MP3s directly from the application.

The interface is user-friendly, thus enabling any type of individual to work with it, no matter their previous experience. Aside from that, the UI is a bit outdated and resembles the classical design used in Windows 98.

The settings panel helps users adjust the pitch, speed and volume of the voice that reads their text out loud. Moreover, here they can test the speech in order to figure out whether it needs further tweaking or not.

The application does not contain any Help files, nor support any other language aside from English, both of which can be considered inconveniences.

Text to MP3 is a useful piece of software that can help you convert text files to MP3s, but it definitely needs more work. During our tests, there were no bugs or crashes recorded.
