The application is good to go from the moment download is done. As such, you can carry it around to be used on other computers, without worrying that something can wrong happen since it doesn’t make any changes to system registries.

However, it completely relies on codecs like FLAC, LAME MP3 Encoder, and Nero AAC Codec to be able to read files, so you need to grab them first, because they’re not bundled in the application’s distribution package.

The visual design is simplistic and pretty intuitive. Half of the space represents the area where all files you load are displayed, while the other half is fitted with different sorts of controls, options, and quality configurations for output files.

Adding files needs to be done through a drag and drop operation. If codecs are properly installed, you are able to process files under formats like APE, MP3, FLAC, and WAV. However, the only supported format for export is AAC, but wrapped in the MP4 file format layer.

Dedicated control options can be used to set bitrate type, which can be constant, variable, or to match the source. In case you decide to process multiple files, it’s possible to set the result to generate one lengthy MP4 file, or perform batch conversion.
