As soon as you launch the application, you need to decide which operation you want to perform: cut an audio file or merge several tracks into a single one.

The first operation allows you to browse to the track you want to edit and adjust its length. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop it onto the dedicated section within the main window.

On the downside, only MP3 files are supported as the source tracks, and once you adjusted the slider and set the new song length, you can export the result to WAV only.

The second operation supported by Audio Editor is merging multiple tracks into one.

What you need to do is to drag and drop the files onto the dedicated panel from the main window. You can load additional files later on and you can also re-arrange the items within the list. You also get to listen to the added files to make sure you are joining the correct tracks.

When you are done editing, you can save the output as WAV.

To sum it up, Audio Editor might not feature any innovative functions or a plethora of supported formats, yet it is fast and straightforward, so beginners are sure to appreciate it at its true value. More advanced users, on the other hand, might prefer to look for another app with more tricks under the hood.
