HD-Audio Remaster is an audio enhancement application whose purpose is to help you convert audio files, resample audio streams to high-definition files, apply VST effects, as well as add pictures and navigation menus. The tool allows you to boost the audio quality of your files in order to export music (with pictures) to DVD, Blu-ray, CD, and computer files.
A step-by-step approach is implemented for helping you set up initial configuration parameters. You can activate Accessibility features for visually impaired persons and change the looks of the utility by choosing between several skins.
The GUI provides quick access to the files and folders stored in your computer via an Explorer-like layout. You may simply drag and drop files from the Explorer panel into the current project. The tool reveals audio information about each track, such as sampling rate, sample size, channels, play time and compression.
You can import audio files with different file formats, such as WAV, AIF, MP3, FLAC, WMA including lossless (no DRM), and M4A/AAC. Plus, you may upload data from iTunes and Windows Media Player playlists.
HD-Audio Remaster offers you the power to upmix stereo audio recordings to 5.1 surround sound, record audio tracks from analog sound card, as well as rip and play DVDs.
You can associate each track with one or more pictures (BMP, PNG or JPG file format) in order to deliver slideshow presentations (MKV file format). The built-in CD ripping tool lets you access the online Internet FreeDB service to get information about the CD album, artist and track names (you need an Internet connection in order to download online data).
What’s more, you can play each audio track using the integrated audio player before exporting it and save audio projects to a file on your disk so you can make adjustments in the future. The application gives you the possibility to export enhanced audio files to WAV, FLAC, AIF, WMA, AAC, or A52 file format.
The program helps you select the audio device for sound recording, set the recording sampling rate and bit depth, adjust the number of channels to record, turn on or off silence detection, as well as adjust the attack time, level, release level and time, peak, and gain.
HD-Audio Remaster comes with a decent feature pack for helping you improve the quality of your audio files. The configuration panel cannot be described as highly intuitive so rookies may need extra time in order to decode the program’s capabilities.
