Kingshiper Vocal Remover

Being able to configure your audio can come in handy in a number of ways. Converting an audio file, modifying its bitrate, or even upping or lowering its maximum volume: these are all things that you may want to do at some point.

Kingshiper Vocal Remover is an interesting piece of software. It claims to offer vocal extraction functionalities, yet it provided nothing of that sort for me. Instead, it provided a series of tools to help me tweak my sound quality, no matter if it was from an audio or video file.

The first thing I can say about the program is that it is indeed easy to use. A typical workflow involves inserting your audio or video file, then tweaking the sound to your needs.

Possible tweaks entail converting the file to a different format — or codec in the case of video audio — as well as modifying its bit and sample rates. You may also force mono audio by changing the channel configuration.

You may also alter a video’s frame rate and resolution, along with its output format. The tool remained easy to use throughout, so I’d say a more casual audience would be able to handle it without issues.

I felt that the tool was rather limited in the Free version. Essentially, the watermark applied on output for both audio and video files can be quite grating, and you also cannot modify ID3 tags, which are locked behind a paywall.

Moreover, the menus seemed to have exhibited a bug or something, as the options for Instruments and Vocals were unchanged for audio files. The same was true for the Video Vocal Remover and Video BGM “Reomover” sections, which were mirrored after one another. As such, contrary to the app’s name, I didn’t get access to anything resembling a vocal or BGM remover.

Kingshiper Vocal Remover is easy to use, but that’s about it. I feel that its functions are on the more rudimentary side, which isn’t necessarily bad, but the odd interface behavior and program limitations make it a difficult solution to recommend.
